I got this text message from a number I don’t know:
“A driver came to work today. He said strange things like ‘Nuk na lef gee ma’. That didn’t seem to mean anything so I took it to mean ‘My name is Ogle!’ I found this amusing that someone would introduce themself in this way. So I laughed and said ‘Hello Mr Ogle, my name is Addy.’ Mr Ogle then looked at me like I was crazy. But he was the one with the funny name. … Anyway, there was a point to this message.
Oh, yeah, this is my new number.”
Why don’t I get texts like that?
